Who we are and what we do at Warrior Homesteads
We at Warrior Homesteads see a need for affordable housing across the country. Whether it’s because of increasing real estate prices, the demand for workforce housing, the necessity for disaster relief and recovery following floods and other climatic disasters, or the ongoing problems with homelessness as a result of geography and economics. We satisfy a massive demand from many people. Additionally, we may lower costs and boost efficiency by employing standardized manufacturing procedures. Throughout the process, we also safeguard and conserve the environment. Our certification is RVIA, and we are working with Habitat for Humanity.
Our founder Glenn Grootegoed has always been interested in all things military because he is the son of two ARMY veterans. Glenn found a way to use his love of the military to care for the veterans who need it most despite being medically unable to serve. Glenn started creating sustainable house prototypes for the most fortunate after leaving a lucrative career in NYC fashion and movies. Glenn began experimenting with shipping container homes to develop sustainable and economical dwelling options. Glenn’s mother, Victoria, suggested that when our first container home was almost finished, it might be helpful for housing veterans as she had lived in a container home similar to it in Afghanistan. Soon after, Warrior Homesteads was established.
